1、非谓语动词doing作宾语
将它放到谓语动词后作宾语。
Example:
Americans stopped taking prosperity for granted.
Thinking is essentially a process of making connections in the brain.
2、非谓语动词to do作主语
... to decide is to kill off all possibilities but one.
to decide 作主语 ; to kill off 作表语
可变化为：... deciding is killing off ...即非谓语doing与非谓语to do二者可相互替换。但要注意前后匹配。
注意：非谓语动词to do作主语常后置;doing 常前置；
Example:
It is important to do so.
It is painful to read these roundabout accounts today.
to do 作主语后置示例：
... it took Beaumont decades to perfect her craft ...
to perfect her craft作主语后置，前面用it代替。
So it seems paradoxical to talk about habits in the same context as creativity and innovation.

3、非谓语动词to do 作宾语
Example:They may then decide to go elsewhere.
to go elsewhere作宾语。
Fortunately,the White House is starting to pay attention.
to pay attention作宾语。
注意：to do 不能放在介词后面。
非谓语动词to do作宾语可以后置（满足以下两个条件：1、主谓宾补句型时后置；2、宾语太长影响后面表语、宾语的描述。）
Example:The brain finds it best to keep smell receptors available for unfamiliar and emergency signals...
注意：to do作主语后置较多，需要重点掌握；to do作宾语后置较少，不需要重点掌握。
4、非谓语动词to do作表语
系动词后面用to do作表语。
Example: The trick is to direct these funds better.
... one benefit of a "national" organization would be to negotiate better prices... with drug manufacturers.
to negotiate better prices... with drug manufacturers be动词后，作表语。
