Summer is coming. The weather is getting hotter and hotter. Sometimes the sunlight can hurt as much as the blustery wind in winter. So home is a congenial place to stay away from the heat.
Lately, I have started to do aerobic exercises. There was a time I practically gained 10kg by eating ice cream. As we know, obesity is a direct result of eating too much fattening food, like ice cream. Frankly, the weight gain is really bugging me so these days I have started to run on the elliptical. This type of exercise is right up my alley because it helps protect my knees.
Shanghai, where I live, is in the middle of the rainy season, so the air is humid and stuffy. Once it stops raining, I will talk my wife into strolling about on the shaded boulevards in our vicinity. You may be wondering if it is pleasant to walk in such uncomfortable weather. In fact, my wife also disagrees with my idea. But I am always telling my wife the moist air is helpful to her skin, which, I am ashamed to admit, is absolutely a barefaced lie. Of course, she never castigates me for that. I have a feeling she secretly enjoys our summer walks, since she gets bored at home easily.
