Job description

As part of the BMBF-funded project “SCTP – Standardization of CT Perfusion for clinical application in oncological imaging” we offer a PhD-student position in Medical Physics at the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology of the Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany. The project aims for a standardization of non-invasive measurements of tissue perfusion by CT perfusion to enable an earlier and more accurate diagnosis of tumor diseases in clinical practice.We offer a scientific challenge in the form of versatile research project in a current and applied field of research. You will become part of an interdisciplinary research team in a highly innovative environment of medical physics, computer science and experimental as well as clinical radiology.Your tasks:-Research in an application-driven environment with an interdisciplinary team of radiologists and natural scientists-Development and evaluation of models of tissue perfusion-Development and implementation of metrics for quality assurance in CT perfusion-Development of methods to quantify measurement uncertainty-Software development and programming of graphical user interfaces

Initially, the position will be limited to three years. Payment will be governed by TV-L at 65%.
